Pure Potential, Solo Exhibition, *new* gallery, Queen St. West, TO, 2010
The paintings in Pure Potential Exhibition coincide with my early shamanic training. They explore ideas about transformation and energy as a life force permeating everything. I sat the show myself and received feedback from hundreds of visitors over the few weeks the show was up. It was a tremendous learning experience for me.

The paintings in New Moon Rising actually led to the study of energy medicine with the Four Winds Society. Sitting the exhibition allowed me to spend prolonged time with the work and revealed images I would now call shamanic in nature. They were filled with transformation and flux and prompted me to explore shamanism in depth.

Vermont Studio Residency, Nov – Dec. 2008
In order to deepen my painting practice and meet other artists in a larger community, I applied for and was granted a half fellowship for a one month residency at the Vermont Studio Center. I was also fortunate to win the Jane Graham Award to put towards the expenses for the residency. In preparation, I made 10 4′ x 6′ canvases as well as many smaller ones. My van was loaded to the hilt as I ventured off to Vermont with much excitement.
This experience was incredibly inspiring and expanding and resulted in the seeds of two solo exhibitions the following 2 years; New Moon Rising and Pure Potential, both show at *new gallery*, Queen Street West, TO, ON.
